What is Mi-Link?

Mi-Link is the brand name for the MultiCAV project which is being led by an experienced and diverse group of companies and organisations, to introduce an autonomous minibus and full size autonomous single decker bus to Milton Park in 2023. The aim of the project is to improve the way people move around the Milton Park and the wider Didcot region in a more sustainable way.

Mi-Link is also a personalised, real-time journey planner, delivering real-time travel information tailored to your individual journey and has been uniquely customised for those travelling to or from Milton Park.

Powered by Zipabout technology, the Mi-Link journey planner is a vital part of the project’s aim to encourage less individual car use by making it easy to plan and undertake sustainable journey options.

Why use Mi-Link journey planner?

Unlike your typical journey planning apps, Mi-Link not only helps you to plan your journey, whether you are walking, cycling or taking the bus to Milton Park, it also keeps you updated, in real time, through services you already use everyday, including WhatsApp and Messenger.

Based on your individual preferences, it will give you journey options across all types of transport and will combine them if needed to deliver a route that’s exactly right for you, and then keep you updated in real-time before, during and after your journey.

Whether it’s a flat journey for cyclists, the quickest shuttle bus to Didcot Parkway train station, autonomous minibus to get around Milton Park, or the most eco-friendly route on foot, the Mi-link journey planner will find it.

If you want to drive to the train station, hop on the train and then cycle the last mile to the office, that’s no problem either.

The Mi-Link service is also integrated with Milton Park’s bike and e-bikes share scheme. You will see the bikes around the Park and at Didcot Parkway train station.
